Four months in four minutes / Cuatro meses en cuatro minutos

As always, we get so busy with our lives that we neglect our blog. Now we will attempt to summarize the events from the last four months - with pictures.

 Como siempre, estamos tan ocupados en nuestras vidas que olvidamos nuestro blog. Ahora intentaremos resumir los eventos de los cuatro meses pasados - con fotos.

This is a rare occasion. Paul is normally not on stage and especially not singing with his boss. Here, with his Mexican soccer team jersey at a Latino concert at the church last summer.

Esta es una ocasión muy infrecuente. Paul normalmente no está en el escenario y menos cantando con su jefe. Aquí, con su jersey del equipo de futbol mexicano en un concierto latino en la iglesia durante el verano.

Here, during the Parish Picnic, Polito properly loaded with popcorn and cotton candy is ready to enjoy this beautiful ranch.

Aquí, durante el pic nic de la parroquia, Polito cargado de palomitas y algodón de azúcar, listo para disfrutar de este hermoso rancho.

A general view of the Rock the River tour when they came to Calgary (during the smoky days). Hundreds of young people came to Christ that day. Catalina enjoyed her favourite band, Starfield.

Vista general del concierto de Rock de River cuando vinieron a Calgary (durante los días en que había humo por los incendios forestales). Cientos de jóvenes se acercaron a Cristo por primera vez. Catalina disfrutó de su banda favorita, Starfield.

Next day after the concert, Starfield came to First Alliance Church and was in charge of worship. It was an amazing service and the music was beautiful.

Al día siguiente del concierto, starfield tocó en la Iglesia de la Primera Alianza y estuvo a cargo de la adoración. Fue un servicio increíble y la música estuvo padrísima.

Mid September - Catalina attended a course in San Diego and enjoyed beautiful weather while in Calgary we received some snow (that melted right away). She really loved san Diego.

Mediados de Septiembre - Catalina fué a San Diego a tomar un curso y disfrutó un clima hermoso mientras en Calgary recibimos un poquito de nieve (que se derritió enseguida). Le encantó San Diego.

In October we were invited to celebrate with our youngest sister Amy that she is now married. She eloped in July and married Scott. We wish them the best in their marriage!

En Octubre fuimos invitados a celebrar que nuestra hermana menor Amy está ahora casada. Ella se casó en secreto en Julio con Scott. ¡Les deseamos lo mejor en su matrimonio!

On November 6th, we celebrated with our lovely nephew Anderson his second birthday, he is growing so fast! All he wanted to do was blowing the candles over and over. Very cute!

El 6 de noviembre, celebramos con nuestro adorable sobrino Anderson su segundo cumpleaños, ¡está creciendo tan rápido! Todo lo que él quería hcer era soplar las velitas una y otra vez. ¡Muy tierno!

 

In early November we participated and enjoyed enormously Caryna and Fabricio´s wedding. Our entire Home Group (except for Lina) attended the ceremony and the party at the Lynx Ridge Golf Club. What a beautiful day!

A principios de noviembre participamos y disfrutamos muchísimo la boda de Caryna y Fabricio. Nuestro grupo de la iglesia (exceptuando Lina) acudió a la ceremonia y a la fiesta en el club de golf Lynx Ridge. ¡Qué hermoso día!

In Mid november Catalina received her engineering ring. She has been registered as a Professional Engineer and was very happy to participate at the Iron Ring Ceremony (which should be mentioned separately).

A mediados de noviembre Catalina recibió su anillo de ingeniera. Ya ha sido aceptada y registrada como ingeniera profesional y estuvo muy contenta de participar en la ceremonia del anillo de acero (que deberá ser descrita por separado)

Last Thursday Catalina became a Canadian Citizen. The long journey is finally over! After passing her test in the morning she received the Citizenship in the afternoon. Paul, David and Georgine were there for the very emotive ceremony. Jenny and Karen joined us to celebrate at dinner. Jenny brought with her a different Citizenship test that everyone enjoyed completing. We all passed!

El Jueves pasado Catalina se convirtió en una nueva Ciudadana Canadiense. El largo proceso por fin terminó. Después de aprobar el examen en la mañana, ella recibió la ciudadanía en la tarde. Paul y sus papás estuvieron ahí durante la muy emotiva ceremonia. Jenny y Karen nos alcanzaron para celebrar en la cena. Jenny trajo consigo un examen de ciudadanía muy diferente que todos disfrutamos hacer. ¡Todos aprobamos!
